Casserole of potatoes with cheese
1: prepare the ingredients
2: fry onion.
3: bake the potatoes and cheese.
4: serve the casserole with potatoes and cheese.
- Butter 40 g
- Herbes de Provence 1 tbsp.
- Red onion 1 EA.
- Potatoes 400 g
- Olive oil 1 tbsp
- Cheese 200 g
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste

Step 1: prepare the ingredients.
Cut potatoes into thin slices, it is best to use a knife for cutting vegetables or a special grater.
Onion cut into feathers.
Cheese grate on a coarse grater.
Step 2: fry onion.
Heat in a pan the oil and fry the onions until transparent (about 2 minutes). Cool down a bit.
Step 3: bake the potatoes and cheese.
In a bowl, combine the potatoes with cheese and fried onions. Add salt, pepper, add the herbes de Provence and 1 tbsp oil.
Put all in a greased form. Lay so that the pieces of potato lay neatly one above the other, and the cheese was evenly distributed among the potatoes and onions.
Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 10 minutes, then reduce oven temperature to 180 degrees and bake another 30 minutes.
Step 4: serve the casserole with potatoes and cheese.
When the top of the casserole is nicely browned, remove it from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Then cut into portions and serve.
